Merry Christmas!!

Berry and I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

This past year has been good for us. We got to take an awesome trip in July/August to Glacier Park Montana. We hiked the back country for 6 days and did just over 60 miles. It was amazing. We are planning our trip for this year to Denali in Alaska. I will keep you all posted.

Savage Gulf - Stone Door July 2007

Berry and I set out for one last hiking trip before our big adventure out to Montana. We decided to hike from Stone Door and then camp at Alum Gap. We drove in on Friday night, set up camp in the dark. (I'm not even sure we were actually in a campsite or taking up a couple at a time) We got up Saturday morning and got on the trail rather early. We stop several times along the trail to take pictures and rest. We got close to Alum Gap campsite area where there is a big sink. Pretty much this means that there is an area to get wet. We met some other hikers from Florida at the sink. We continued on and decided that we would just go ahead and hike it in. We did not have a watch so we were unsure of the time but knew we would have enough time to hike the last 3 miles out. This would give us a better idea of the actual distance per day we will be walking this next week in Glacier Park Montana. We ended up getting off the trail and headed back home by 12:30. Wow we smoked that trail. We figure we walked the entire 8 miles + in less that 5 hours. More like 4 and a half.

IFCO Concert June 4, 2007

Every year The City Paper is a sponsor of this event. We run a contest online offering free tickets to those who email in along with a meet-n-greet with a couple of the artists that participate. This year my winners were unable to attend so I took a friend of mine Summer. It was great. We got to meet Ty Herndon and got to mingle with the artists backstage during the concert. It was a great time for both of us and a great way for Music City to start CMA Music Fest.

Blog for Cakes

Ok, after having a couple people question me about putting up pictures of my cakes and pricing I have decided to go ahead and creat a blogsite just for my cakes. It is currently under construction. It will have a listing of cake and icing flavors available, pictures of past cakes as well as pricing on those cakes. If you know of someone in the Nashville Area who may be interested in purchasing a cake for that special occasion please feel free to give them the blogsite address so they can go check out past pictures and comments from those clients as well as my contact information number.

I have been playing around with REALLY starting a cake business and up until now have just played around doing cakes for friends and family. Hopefully this new blogsite will create some buzz and lead to something well beyond what I could ever imagine.

I will let you all know when it is up and the address to go and check out the cakes.

First Day As a Blogger

I'm not exactly sure what to post on my first entry but couldn't stand not having a blog site when both of my sister-in-laws have one. the idea is very facinating that I can write what is going on and then someone will actually want to go on and read about it. So here we go......

Recently, Berry and I have started to look for houses down in the Thompson Station, Spring Hill area. We are hoping that we can get a little more land and house for the money. So we will see what happens. Please keep and ear open and let us know if you hear of anything in those areas. Right now we have been watching the forclosure lists to see if we might find a deal that way. We would be willing to go in and fix it up a bit if we had to. Just having more space and land so that we are not living right on top of our neighbors is really appealing to us right now, but we are in no hurry!

Test Drive a Mercedes Day 2007

Test Drive a Mercedes Day 2007
This past Saturday, my mother and I met up with our nation and went to the Annual Test Drive a Mercedes Day with Arbonne. We got to look at all the mercedes so when it comes time for us to pick out our car of choice we know which one we like. I test drove the small SUV, which is the one I will be getting when I get to Regional Vice President. Arbonne has this really cool incentive: reach Regional Vice President and get paid to drive a Mercedes of your choice. All that on top of the great commission structure. Arbonne is a great compant that allows all of their business builders to make the money they want on their own time.

Cake Anyone?

Cake Anyone?
I really don't have much to blog about but thought I should put something up so I thought about my cakes. I have put together a picture of some of the cakes I have done in the past. I love to create and decorate cakes for special occassions. My biggest supporters thus far have been family and co-workers. In fact I think my biggest fan is Abby my niece. We have done some really cool cakes for her birthday's over the past couple of years. I am welcoming the upcoming birthday of Beau my nephew; finally cakes for a boy. Hopefully you are not viewing these photos hungry as they are delicious and smell fantastic.( What am I thinking- you can't smell thru a computer :>)Enjoy!!!!!

Molsen, Angel & Skylar

Molsen, Angel & Skylar
So today I decided to post a picture of our dogs. They are our pride and joy. We are the proud parents of three Cocker Spaniels. As you can see they are all blondes and seem to act like it a lot. The first picture is of Angel and Molsen; sisters. The second is Skylar; a year younger than the girls. These three are such crazy dogs. They all sing to the church bells on Sunday morning, and I have to say they are terrible singers. They are cute though. Molsen loves to swim and rough-house, Angel loves the tummy rubs and Skylar loves to fetch. They are a ton of fun. We take them with us when we go camping and they love it.
