Christmas 2008

It seems like Berry and I just got done with Halloween and now it is about Christmas time. I went ahead this year and put the decorations and tree up before Thanksgiving as we were in Michigan for Thanksgiving and then gone this past weekend to see Michael, Courtney and Will. we had a great time, Berry watching the game with Michael and his dad (Mike went with us) and Courtney and I shopping a little. There home is beautiful and Will is a stitch, singing and dancing. I miss him already. Can't wait for Christmas to see Abby and Beau along with toby ad Dee-Dee. I am in preperation mode for Abby's birthday cake. YEAH!! High School Musical it is this year.

Enjoy the pictures. If you can't tell I collect snowmen.

Fall Fest 2008 in Flawoods

This years Fall Fest started out with a bang - or actually with a thud with us hitting a deer just 5 minutes from the property on Friday night. Don't worry, as the State Trooper told us it was just a little one and the worst it could do would be to push our radiator into our engine but that's no big deal. Actually we hit it and then Dwayne our friend hit it with his van and then it was pretty much dead. The trooper did decide to leave it in the road since it was a baby doe. That just kind of sounds crazy to me but OK.

The rest of the weekend went great. We were able to ride 4-wheelers and just relax and handout. Dwayne brought some cool games and we had a great time.

A great big thanks to everyone who attended Fall Fest 2008 in Flatwoods with us. Berry and I had a wonderful time with you all. Hopefully this is something we can do every October.

For those of you who couldn't make it maybe next year you can join us.

The Clean-Up

Berry, my brother Aaron and I went to Flatwoods a couple of weekends ago and started the big clean-up of the cabin and property. We were able to get the whole cabin cleaned out, the water pump working and the holding tank cleaned out. It is looking in good shape now.

These pictures are of the huge fire we had going from the old couch and stuff that got burned.

Ducks, Ducks, and more Ducks!!!

Back on August 23 the Child Advocacy Center had their 2nd Duck Derby to benefit the center. The Murfreesboro Post was a print sponsor so Kim and myself along with my brother Aaron went out to help the ducks get to the finish line.

The water was really low from lack of rain so we had to be in boats pushing them along. All 8000 of them. It was great fun.

We launched the ducks from above the falls to get them started.

Labor Day Weekend 2008

This past Sunday, Berry, Renee and I went down to the property in Flatwoods,TN. My brother Aaron has been placing rocks around the bridge to secure the area from runoff water and erosion while also working on how to dam up the water so we can use the pump to pump water up to the cabin. He finished and we wanted to go and see how it came out. As you can see it is really nice. While we were there, Berry and Renee also got ahold of the guy who will grade the road for us. We are excited and hope to have a Fall Weekend with a bunch of friends in October.

DENALI, ALASKA!

Hopefully I'm not posting too many pictures of our trip. I will upload all the photos to adorama for you all to view the full set. All 600+. Enjoy

The Entrance to the Park.

One of the many spectacular views!

Alaska miniature golf course!

Our Cabin outside the park entrance. Park's Edge!

It was overcast most of the time because of all the rain we got. We had just one day when it didn't rain all day on and off. These are our tents in the distance.

The longer we were out in the park the lower the level of snow came down into the valley where we were camping.

Berry, John and Chris eating breakfast on one of the nice and rainy mornings.

Berry and Aaron, my brother, on the trail.

Aaron and me on the trail. Can you tell we are cold and wet???

Last morning out on the trail.

Momma Moose!!

We are finally in. We have most everything unpacked and put in its place. Most of the pictures have been hung and everything is falling into place. We have one room left to paint; Berry's office. My mom and I will be painting that this weekend so everything will be painted. YEAH!!! I will post more pictures of the house in the next couple of days.

New Home

It's been a while since I posted and most of you know we have been in between homes. Up until this past weekend we were living with my parents in their basement. No, No , it wasn't as bad as you are thinking. In fact, we had our own bedroom, computer room, living room, little kitchen area and bathroom. My parents were wonderful. My mom did our laundry most of the time and made dinner and pretty much spoiled us. Thanks Mom & Dad!!!

We are now in the house and still have some things that need to be done. we have been painting and cleaning and just making it ours. I will post pictures soon.

Berry and I are off to Alaska on Friday with my brother Aaron and some friends. It should be a great trip. We will have lots of photos to post when we get back.

Thank you to all of you who have been calling and praying for Berry and his eye. He is doing better and should be able to have his final surgery to remove the oil bubble in his left eye once we return from Alaska. He can see light and slight shapes and colors but not fine detail, but the doctors are hopeful he will regain complete vision. Keep praying. It is working.

We love you all.

He had his party here last year and it was great so my sister-in-law decided it would be there again this year. the weather was great and the kids had a great time. I borrowed my brothers bouncy thingy and the kids got to jump around and have a great time. We miss you all already.
Happy Birthday Beau!

Sold

Just an update for everyone who hasn't heard. Berry and I sold our house in just nine days. Yes, I know we are lucky to have sold that quickly but pretty much our Real Estate Agent priced our house lower than we really wanted to go and convinced us this was what we needed to do. Having never sold a house before we went along with what they told us to do and it SOLD. We have to be out by March 14 so we are packing up everything and getting rid of a ton of things.

Please keep us in your prayers. we will be moving in with my parents for a few months so that my older brothers house can be completed and they can move into that. We will be buying their house and hopefully moving in the first week of June.

we miss all of you and hope to see you soon.

Home for Sale!

Berry and I put our house up for sale this past weekend. I have posted a few pictures of the house. Please pass this blog post on to anyone you know looking for a very clean and spacious home in the Nashville area. We have a fully fenced backyard with both a deck and patio off from that deck. the landscaping is very easy to manage but looks great. We also have an area that is ready for your garden in the spring. Our home offers 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, 2 story with laundry room upstairs. 2 car garage all at the end of a a cul-de-sac with some great neighbors.

Please pray for us as we enter into unknown territory.

Test Drive a Mercedes Day 2007

Test Drive a Mercedes Day 2007
This past Saturday, my mother and I met up with our nation and went to the Annual Test Drive a Mercedes Day with Arbonne. We got to look at all the mercedes so when it comes time for us to pick out our car of choice we know which one we like. I test drove the small SUV, which is the one I will be getting when I get to Regional Vice President. Arbonne has this really cool incentive: reach Regional Vice President and get paid to drive a Mercedes of your choice. All that on top of the great commission structure. Arbonne is a great compant that allows all of their business builders to make the money they want on their own time.

Cake Anyone?

Cake Anyone?
I really don't have much to blog about but thought I should put something up so I thought about my cakes. I have put together a picture of some of the cakes I have done in the past. I love to create and decorate cakes for special occassions. My biggest supporters thus far have been family and co-workers. In fact I think my biggest fan is Abby my niece. We have done some really cool cakes for her birthday's over the past couple of years. I am welcoming the upcoming birthday of Beau my nephew; finally cakes for a boy. Hopefully you are not viewing these photos hungry as they are delicious and smell fantastic.( What am I thinking- you can't smell thru a computer :>)Enjoy!!!!!

Molsen, Angel & Skylar

Molsen, Angel & Skylar
So today I decided to post a picture of our dogs. They are our pride and joy. We are the proud parents of three Cocker Spaniels. As you can see they are all blondes and seem to act like it a lot. The first picture is of Angel and Molsen; sisters. The second is Skylar; a year younger than the girls. These three are such crazy dogs. They all sing to the church bells on Sunday morning, and I have to say they are terrible singers. They are cute though. Molsen loves to swim and rough-house, Angel loves the tummy rubs and Skylar loves to fetch. They are a ton of fun. We take them with us when we go camping and they love it.
